The Foreign Language Department of Blue Ridge School believes that the study of a foreign language is invaluable, both to preparation for college and to the essential development of the individual. Our goals are to develop the basic skills in reading, writing, and oral communication necessary for proficiency in a foreign language; to widen the student’s knowledge and appreciation of foreign cultures; and to instill in him an understanding of his place in the global community. We believe that exposure to another system of communication gives the student a better understanding of his own language and culture. Classes include:
